Dr. Lars Jacobsen MSc Head of Clinical Relations and International medical advisor. ALK-Abello Research.

Dr. Lars Jacobsen graduated from Copenhagen University specialized in Immunology and Parasitology. He has during his carrier in the past 18 years been responsible for clinical research, medical marketing, pharmacovigilance and international medical relations in the Danish pharmaceutical company ALK-Abello. He is specialised in clinical research programmes of treatment of allergic diseases and the prevention of asthma. Dr. Jacobsen is a member of several international scientific committees on allergen specific immunotherapy and specific diagnosis of allergic diseases. He has close relationship to European patient’s organisations of Allergy and Asthma and collaborated with the NGO´s setting worldwide guidelines for the treatment of allergic diseases. He is a member of the EAACI Interest group on Immunotherapy and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology consensus group:” Immunotherapy in Allergic Asthma” and associated to the American Academy and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology committees on asthma and immunotherapy. He has been active in the establishment of the pharmaco-economic committee of the Danish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry. For the past 5 years Dr. Jacobsen has taken the position as spokesperson for the pharmaceutical industry in the collaborating with the European Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

As a recognised international speaker and consultant Dr. Jacobsen has presented at international scientific and regulatory conferences in most of the world and he has published several scientific papers and book chapters within the field of specific allergy treatment and prevention of allergy and asthma.
